Abstract

This article examines the features of phonetics and vocabulary of the Middle High German language. This topic is relevant since it addresses those changes that have an impact on the study of the formation of the modern German language. The authors clarify that the classical Middle High German language was more than just a regional language, since it was distinguished by a high degree of uniformity which brought it closer to the normalized written and literary language. Analysis of borrowed vocabulary in Middle High German from the French language and Oriental languages. Lists the changes that occurred in the phonetic system of the language. The authors conclude that with the help of language processes that occurred in the Middle High German period we have the opportunity to understand the phenomena of the modern German language, to understand some laws and laws of the language.
